Award winning violin maker, Mr Vasile Gliga, began creating instruments in 1980 in his workshop in central Romania. Starting from humble beginnings working in a state-owned violin factory, his talent and passion for instrument making soon led to the opening of his own small home workshop where he began by hand-crafting two violins per month with the help of his wife. Gliga's skill and attention to detail led to international recognition and the expansion of his workshop. Sourcing tone woods from the famous Carpathian Mountain region of central Europe, over the years, the Gliga range has expanded from student to professional levels. Gliga continues to offer European quality at very affordable prices.
