OldWood Ag+ Italian Cream (50ml)
Soft cream designed to clean, polish, and protect the most exclusive classic varnished wood instruments, such as violin, viola, or cello. Removes prints, dust, and dirt while enhancing the beauty of the instrument.
Italian Cream Ag+ also protects against microorganisms which occasionally could be deposited on the instrument surface. The product contains some components which inhibit and prevent the survival of microorganisms on the surface. This protective barrier is permanent while the product is on the surface.
Italian Cream Ag+ has been formulated with top-quality raw materials and ensures the minimum impact on health and the environment. This product does not contain silicones, abrasive components, heavy oils and heavy solvents.
The silver ions content enables the product to prevent the development of microorganisms on the surface where it’s applied. This assures the correct hygiene for the instrument. The ionic silver is a power antimicrobial agent with a broad spectrum and tested efficiency against the most usual microorganisms such as bacteria, virus, fungus and protozoans. The optimum balance on its components provide good cleaning and leaves a thin layer on the surface which enhance the beauty and protects the instrument for a longer period.
For the correct instrument’s cleaning, we highly recommend removing any dust from the area where the product will be applied. Put some drops of the product on lint-free clean cotton or microfiber cloth. Spread it over instrument’s surface while applying a small amount of pressure. Rub in small circular movements. Finally, rub gently with a clean cloth until no visible residues are left. You must clean your instrument with the Italian Cream Ag+ after every use or after a deep cleaning or restoration. Keep the bottle well closed in a fresh area. Sources of heat, radiation, electricity and contact with food should be avoided.
The product does not require special handling measures, but the following general measures are recommended: use protective gloves and glasses against accidental splashes. The product is not classified as dangerous for the environment. Do not dump into sewers or waterways.

Standard parcels ship via Australia Post, and we offer free shipping for orders over $99 (standard cost is $10). Orders are fulfilled within 3 business days. Standard delivery times are 3-5 days. All instruments are professionally set-up by our workshop, and so fulfilment times for instrument orders are longer (please allow up to 2 weeks currently). Want to get your order as fast as possible? We also offer an express post option which you can select at checkout. Items are sent via Australia Post Express and typically arrive in 1-2 days after your order has been fulfilled.
Larger items such as cellos and large cases require extra care and incur a separate handling and delivery fee of $99. Double Basses sized 1/4 also incur a separate fee of $145, and 1/2 and 3/4 Double Basses a fee of $225. These items are not applicable for free shipping. When ordering larger items to remote locations, or when ordering multiple larger items, there may be an additional delivery cost involved.

Bows for Strings offers the option to 'click and collect' your order at our Glen Waverley showroom. Click and collect items are typically ready within 1 business day (instruments require professional set-up and are typically ready within 2 weeks currently due to back to school demand). If choosing this option you will receive an email when your item is ready to pick-up.New Zealand Shipping:
We are pleased to offer international shipping to New Zealand! Shipping is currently available for violins, violas, strings and accessories - stay tuned for cellos and double basses. Shipping costs are based on weight and are calculated at checkout - smaller items such as strings or books cost $20, larger items such as a violin or viola cost $35. If you would like a heavier item (cello, double bass, etc) shipped to New Zealand, please contact us for a quote. Delivery typically takes 7-10 days, and fulfilment times are the same as listed above.
