We’ve just added a number of wonderful fine Italian violins to our collection, including one from Italian master violin maker, Giorgio Grisales.
Giorgio Grisales is a modern master with 40 years of experience. In 1988 Grisales graduated at the “International School of Violinmaking” in Cremona, and following this attended a course organized by the “Regione Lombardia" where he received a diploma in bowmaking. His professional training was completed when he graduated at the “Civic School of Violinmaking” in Milan for musical instrument restoration.
Following this, Grisales opened his own workshop in Cremona where he has produced instruments of fine quality for 30 years. Grisales’ instruments are now well-known and appreciated all over the world. He not only makes fine violins, he also crafts violas, cellos and doublebasses.
In the video below, Bows for Strings violinist, Nick, plays a brief excerpt that highlights the tonal qualities of the violin.
