Bows for Strings is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with the Invictus Quartet—a dynamic ensemble of four exceptional musicians who have been familiar faces in our shop for many years. 

Formed in 2017, the Invictus Quartet has earned praise both in Australia and internationally for their luminous, blended sound and their captivating performances. Based in Melbourne, the group is composed of violinists Rebecca Wang and Nyssa Sanguansri, violist Jin Tong Long, and cellist Annika Kenner. These four talented friends originally came together while studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, mentored by the Ormond Quartet (resident string quartet of the Melbourne Conservatorium 2016-2018), and have since continued their artistic development under the guidance of acclaimed violinist and educator William Hennessy AM.

From performing on the world stage at Salzburg’s International Mozart Competition to lighting up beloved local festivals like the Brunswick Beethoven Festival, Four Seasons Fine Music and Feastival Falls Creek, Invictus Quartet continues to impress with their versatility and artistry. Their music has echoed through Parliament House in Canberra and charmed audiences in the intimate glow of Fever’s Candlelight Concerts, proving their ability to captivate listeners in any setting.

At Bows for Strings, we are passionate about supporting musicians at all stages of their careers, and Invictus exemplifies the spirit of creativity and collaboration. As part of our new partnership, we recently upgraded all four players with brand-new sets of strings—just the beginning of many initiatives designed to support their journey. We’re especially excited to team up with Invictus to create fun and engaging content, both online and in-store, that reflects their bold musical vision.

Known for their genre-crossing performances, including collaborations with contemporary artists and bands like Billy Davis, Erica Tucceri, The Piano Men and Seventh Wonder, Invictus is on a mission to make string music accessible and relevant to a wide audience. Whether performing classical masterpieces, anime soundtracks, or original arrangements, their energy and authenticity shine through.
