Being a small violin-making nation, it's not often we have two fantastic examples of handmade Australian violins to play and compare.

In this video Nick plays two instruments made by expert Australian luthiers, Glen Nicholls and John Johnston. Nick plays the same piece on each so we can hear the differences between the two violins.

The Glen Nicholls violin was handmade in his Melbourne workshop in 2005, and the John Johnston was handmade in Sydney in 1987.
