Andrea Schudtz 2024 Stradivari Violin - Video demonstration
Andrea Schudtz is a modern master luthier with over 25 years of experience.
In 1991 Schudtz attended the International School of Violin Making in Cremona and moved to Italy. He studied with Mo. Conia, Mo. Negroni, Mo. G. Scolari and in 1995 graduated from the school and went on to open a workshop in the centre of Cremona.
Schudtz's instruments are made following the classical models of the Cremonese School, such as Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati with his own personal touch. His varnish is very thin and elastic and the wood quality is remarkable.
These qualities make Schudtz's instruments very popular with musicians worldwide (and here in our showroom!), and we are delighted to have received our fourth violin from the marker. This violin is a Stradivari model and it has a fantastic tone as demonstrated by Nick in our latest video below:
