Video comparison: 14" violas for progressing students

by Bows for Strings on

In this video Liv plays two similarly priced 14" violas that are both fantastic options for progressing students, the Chamber Classic 202 and the Harald Lorenz Nr 2.

Chamber is our own brand here at Bows for Strings, and we are extremely proud of its rich history with students and teachers alike. It has been servicing players across Australia for over 20 years and was the first brand to deliver to the Australian market a true shaped small viola in both body shape and depth in 11” and 11.75".

The Harald Lorenz Nr 2 is made in the Akord Kvint workshop in the Luby region in the Czech Republic. Akord Kvint is a workshop of master violin makers which was established in 1991, and has been creating beautiful professional and student European instruments ever since.

Liv plays the same piece on both instruments so you can hear the similarities and differences between them. Listen below and let us know which one stands out to you!
