At Bows for Strings we take great pride in our extensive range of instruments that help support the musical journey of all players, from daring beginners right through to accomplished professionals.

A key aspect of our offering is our range of fine instruments and bows, of which we have just added a selection of these to our online store to allow you to view them more easily and draw inspiration from the beauty of these wonderful instruments.

To showcase these fine instruments we will be publishing a series of video demonstrations that highlight the different tonal attributes of each instrument.

First up is a lovely handmade violin by prominent Australian maker, Ian Clarke. This particular violin was made in Clarke's workshop in Biddlestone, Queensland in 1982. The violin is in excellent condition and has a beautiful sound.
