As Melbourne is currently under stage 4 restrictions our showroom is closed to customers, however we would like to reassure our community that we are still here to help and support you.

We have enjoyed engaging with families through our care package giveaway, and recently we announced a free bow rehair offer designed to help professional musicians and tertiary music students who have been affected by the pandemic (find out more about this here).

Video consultations:

Our website allows you to shop online and seek the expertise of our team of musicians and luthiers for any of your musical questions! We have also just launched video consultations that bring the Bows for Strings showroom experience into your home and provide you with the opportunity to speak to one of our musicians directly via Zoom. If you are wanting to discuss your next instrument, our musicians are able to play through our range for you and talk to you about the options that would best suit you.

To book a video consultation we ask that you fill out our contact form or give us a call and tell us briefly what you would like assistance with, and when you are hoping to speak to one of our team so we can organise a suitable time for your appointment.

We will also be sharing advice and tips through our Instagram and Facebook pages to help you make the most of your time practicing at home. 

Free delivery over $50 and local click-and-collect:

When shopping online, Bows for Strings customers receive free delivery Australia-wide for orders over $50 (this excludes heavier items requiring extra care such as cellos and double basses - these incur a flat fee of $75).

Contactless click-and-collect in accordance with our COVID Safe Plan is available to local customers during our standard showroom hours. When choosing this option, customers receive a notification when their order is ready for pick-up.

Free fitting is still available for items such as strings and chin rests. Simply let us know when calling to say you have arrived and we will collect your instrument from you to fit your items.
