In this video, Bows for Strings violinist, Nick, plays the popular German-made Helmut Illner SIR-B model violin. These violins have been a real hit in our showroom.

The German SIR brand of instruments was created by renowned luthier, Helmut Illner, in the town of Erlanger, Germany.

SIR instruments are handcrafted in Germany from high quality aged and dried European spruce and maple. The SIR-B model violin is characterised by its rich, broad and dynamic sound, and is finished with hand applied varnish that gives each instrument a beautiful lustre.
